WESTAF

In 2001, your local police department joined with several other local police departments to create a West Suburban Major Crimes Task Force called WESTAF, a non-for-profit organization. The goal of WESTAF was to combine the expertise and resources of several police departments to investigate the most serious of crimes within your community. In addition to the investigative aspect of the unit the task force also has their own Evidence Technicians.

To date, WESTAF has been extremely successful. Since 2001 WESTAF has been activated on forty (40) call-outs with 97% of the cases cleared, either by verifying the death was not a homicide or by arrest.
