Fleet Maintenance

In order to provide the most effective and efficient service to the community, we employ a variety of patrol methods. We maintain 15 patrol vehicles- 13 of these vehicles are marked, 2 are unmarked. Because of the nature of police work and its 24/7 operation, patrol vehicles must be frequently inspected.

The police department maintains and operates four (4) radar units used to detect the speed of moving vehicles.  Three units are mounted inside a patrol car; the fourth is a hand held unit officers can use in any car.  These sensitive pieces of equipment require annual certification to maintain proper calibration.
