Citizen Police Academy

The Forest Park Police Department offers a Citizen’s Police Academy for its residents. The academy is designed to give its students a first-hand look inside the department’s structure, an education in the many facets of the job of police officer, and an opportunity to try their own hands at police work through an interactive environment. The goal of the academy is to create and develop a core of responsible, well-informed citizens who may work to make Forest Park a better community for all its residents.

There is no cost to the Citizen’s Police Academy. Classes run one night a week for ten weeks and concludes with a graduation ceremony at a Village Council Meeting.
